MortonÂ’s The Steakhouse and three generations of the legendary Mondavi
Participating Mondavi wineries and family members included Charles Krug Winery-Peter Mondavi Family with Peter, Sr., Marc and Peter Mondavi, Jr., the Michael Mondavi Family Winerywith Michael Mondavi and Continuum Estate with Tim Mondavi.
The event, the culmination of the “Prime Events at Morton’s” series, was broadcast live to the private dining boardrooms of 50 MortonÂ’s locations throughout the U.S., including MortonÂ’s Seaport location, creating a virtual 4-course wine dinner with the entire extended Mondavi family and more than 1,500 guests.
The Carriage House event hosted a live auction of an exclusive 27-liter bottle of “Siamo Insieme,” the first-ever red wine produced by the second and third generations of the Mondavi family. Siamo Insieme, which means “we are together” in Italian, is a unique blend of Napa Valley grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
“We are thrilled that we were able to bring the extended Mondavi family together with more than 1,500 people nationwide for this unique charity event,” said Morton’s VP of Wine & Spirits, Tylor Field III. “The money that we were able to raise speaks directly to the generosity of our guests, and we couldn’t be prouder that they stepped up in this way.”
“Morton’s has been an amazing sponsor for us,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America President and Chief Executive Officer. “The money raised at this event will fund the wishes of many children with life-threatening medical conditions, and we are truly grateful for the support from Morton’s and the Mondavi family.”
