Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club reopened earlier this year after an extensive reimagining. The Surfside, Florida complex comprises three new buildings designed by Richard Meier & Partners Architects LLP that expand the existing Surf Club: a glass-and-steel building that encases the historic club and two neighboring residential towers. Interior architect Joseph Dirand masterminded the public area interiors, hotel bedrooms, and cabanas. A luxury hotel on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, Coral Sands recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation. The phased renovation involved the removal of a two-story hotel building and the construction of two separate buildings with three guest rooms in each, three freestanding beachfront guest cottages, and a new 55-foot infinity pool with second-level soaking pool. The first hotel project to grace Grenada’s Grand Anse Beach in more than 25 years, Silversands will open in spring 2018. Landscape architects at Halvorson Design Partnership have developed a living shoreline for Slip65 on Boston Harbor, currently under construction at Clippership Wharf. The shoreline provides unprecedented access to the water’s edge and serves as a resiliency measure for this new urban mixed-use community.
