Peter J. de Savary, the creator of exclusive private clubs such as The St. James Club (London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, and Antigua) and Cherokee Plantation in South Carolina, recently unveiled an exclusive, points-based membership opportunity at Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club on the island of Grenada in the West Indies.
The Private Residence Club at Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club is a membership program that combines an exclusive residential setting with full-service hospitality and individualized lifestyle components. Residences in the membership program include luxury Hacienda Suites and Villas measuring approximately 1,100 square feet. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom bi-level villas include master suites, indoor and outdoor living areas, full kitchens and dining areas, spacious bathrooms, and spectacular ocean views. Accommodations include the latest in technology, fully equipped kitchens, and luxury bedding and bath linens.
Mount Cinnamon Resort Hotel offers several dining options for guests, including its signature restaurant, Savvy’s. The spectacular views at Savvy’s during breakfast and dinner are complemented by delicious West Indian-inspired cuisine. Guests also enjoy access to the full-service Mount Cinnamon Resort Beach Club. Resort facilities include beachside lounge areas complete with daybeds, hammocks, and massage cabanas; seaside dining and lounge; and numerous fitness options including yoga classes, gym, tennis, and a swimming pool.
Two membership options are available, both of which provide guests with club points that can be redeemed for nightly stays in the suite or villa of their choice. The Founders Membership offers 90,000 points, while the Premium Membership provides 112,000 points. Point usage varies depending upon residence (70,000 to 112,000 in the villas; 52,500 to 84,000 per suite). Membership fees range from $22,000 to $24,750. Depending on the level selected, the time of year, and the desired type of residence, members may stay for up to 10 nights annually.

Jack Dusty debuts at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota
Located at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida, Jack Dusty opened its doors in January, offering guests a bevy of dining and drinking options. At the helm of Jack Dusty is Chef de Cuisine Jeff Thomas, a CIA graduate whose culinary vitae includes working for Bobby Flay at Mesa Grill, and most recently running the kitchen as executive chef at Anna Maria Island restaurant Beach Bistro. The menu at Jack Dusty offers modern American cuisine with a vast array of raw bar offerings. Main plates are categorized By Land and By Sea. Choose from entrees such as grilled Pork Chop with black-eyed peas and seasonal greens; Red Brick Chicken, a modern twist on the Sicilian classic Chicken Mattone, prepared in a cast iron skillet weighed down by a brick and served with Anson Mills grits and market veggies; and 1855 Beef Tenderloin, with smashed potatoes and seasonal mushrooms. Jack Dusty’s bar plays a central role in the restaurant with an emphasis on craft microbrews, a broad selection of rums and spirits, and an array of specialty cocktails made with farm-fresh ingredients.

Club Med opens its renovated L’Occitane spa in the Dominican Republic
A 650-yard-long private beach makes Punta Cana an ideal place to relax and enjoy all-inclusive Dominican Republic vacations at Club Med. The resort recently unveiled the renovated Club Med Spa by L’Occitane, marking the conclusion of a $1.5 million upgrade project for the resort.
