To begin the one-of-a-kind adventure, guests fly by private helicopter to the family-run Jose Cuervo distillery in Tequila, Mexico, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The nine-hour excursion begins in the blue agave fields, where you learn about the process of “Jima” harvesting and plant your own agave. A personal plaque will accompany each new planting, to ensure that in time, you can return to taste tequila distilled from your very own agave.
Following the activities at the agave fields, embark on a guided tour of La Rojeña, the oldest tequila distillery in the world, to learn about the inner-workings of tequila production and the different varieties of tequila. An expert sommelier provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Reserva de la Familia, the underground cellar of the distillery, for a private tasting of tequila straight from the barrels followed by bottling of your own spirit, complete with a personalized serial number and customized seal.
Top-shelf spirits are complemented by a three-course lunch prepared by the Mundo Cuervo chef and Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita Chef and live music by an authentic mariachi band. The Extraordinary Experience concludes in a private area of the distillery for an exclusive tasting of a selection of white, rested and aged tequila.
