London-based fashion designer Emile Vidal Carr has recently launched his debut swimwear collection, EcoSwimure.

The swimsuits are made from ECONYL, a fabric made from nylon found in the oceans around the world. This innovative fabric is exactly the same as brand new nylon and can be recycled, recreated, and remolded again and again.

The sustainable swimsuits range in price from 109 to 117 pounds, and are made with UK-sources fabrics.

“We chose to expand our collection as we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to own ethical, sustainable and fashionable swimwear,” says Carr.

Carr moved to the UK from Sierra Leone at three years old, and studied fashion at the London College of Fashion. He gets his inspiration from art, music (mainly hip hop), and his wife.

He’s been working in the fashion industry for 20 years and his work has been showcased at Topshop, ASOS, and New York Fashion Week.
