Ocean Home Magazine’s Third Annual “Top 25 Ocean Homes” Features the Best Oceanfront Homes for Sale from Coast to Coast

cover_oh_mayjunApril 14, 2010 – BOSTON, MA — Ocean Home magazine, a luxury oceanfront lifestyle publication, announces its third annual list of the “Top 25 Ocean Homes” for sale from coast to coast. The article, which is in the current issue (May/June), showcases the most exotic, luxurious, and desirable oceanfront homes currently on the market.

All homes featured are located directly on the ocean and offer the ultimate in luxury, amenities, acreage, and square footage. Homes chosen for this feature not only have the best architectural and interior designs, but are also located in the most desirable neighborhoods in the United States.

Comments Ocean Home’s editor, Jack Morris, “Be it a huge oceanfront master suite with panoramic views or a 10,000 bottle wine cellar, it takes more than a massive price tag to qualify a home as worthy of being deemed one of our best of the best. Of course, location, location, location is a key reason these incredible homes make our list…as are the properties’ water views, beach access, and overall style and design.”

This year’s list spans 15 states, including Washington, Maine, and New York. The top-priced homes come in at just under $50 million – one listed by Hurwitz-James Company in Malibu, CA and the other listed by Avatar Real Estate Services in Coral Gables, Florida.

Adds Morris, “We searched high and low for the best of the best. From quaint oceanfront villas to palatial cliffside estates, these dream homes represent the top of the market. If you want an oceanfront home, your search begins in our May/June issue.”

Site Updates and New Content

ohmj09_villaspotlight_catAs you may have noticed, we’ve posted the content from our May/June issue to the site and there are a few highlights that are worth mentioning. First, be sure to click on our new feature stories. If you’re in the market for a new ocean home, we’ve got some great stories to help with your research. First, “A New Dawn for the Dominican Republic” takes an in-depth look at the best new developments in the DR – from world-class golf resorts to a new Trump casino-resort. What was once a low-buget vacation spot is quickly becoming a luxurious second-home desitination (or third, or fourth).

Next, we’ve got our annual “Top 25 Ocean Homes in the US.” We’ve dug through the listings, contacted the real estate agents, and put together the most lavish homes for sale on the ocean from coast to coast, including Hawaii. Finally, we have a story about the man who singlehandedly started the anti-virus software business, John McAfee. While McAfee once owned a dozen properties around the world, including the Molokai home that we feature in the story which is currently on the market, he is dumping it all in favor of a life on the sandy shores of Belize. We hope you enjoy the story.

Also be sure to check out all the great new items we’ve posted in our Sea Life section, as well as some new interviews with a few key players in oceanfront developments. On top of that, we’ve updated our Exclusive Agent program to include new listings by some of the top ocean home real estate agents in the country. Just click on “Exclusive Agents” for more.

Please let us know what you think right here on this blog. Your comments are welcome. In the meantime, put a new layer of sunscreen on and enjoy the ocean breeze.
