Home in Dana Point sells for $14,140,000, indicating a positive trend in luxury home sales
The 6,100 sq foot home features sweeping terraces, an outdoor living area with full bar, fire place and cook center,
and an infinity pool with spa and underwater sound system. As part of a gated community, the 5 bedroom 6.5 bath beauty receives access to a 24 hour guard, private beach club, and the white sands of Strand Beach. Its record breaking sale is an exciting one, as it indicates an upward trend in luxury oceanfront home sale prices in the area. Since the the second half of 2010 saw a devestating low of less than $2,000 per sq foot for oceanfront property’s, prices have been on an upward trend with few below the $2,000 mark, but this Dana Point sale at $2,336 per sq foot even competites with Laguna Beach real estate which is historically higher. This indicates furthur stregthening of the oceanfront luxury real estate market and could be due to growing confidence in buyers as luxury real estate prices and expectations stabilize. The home was listed by John Stanaland of Hom Group.
