How long have you been planning your wedding? The Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island may have you beat. The luxury resort on the North Florida coast today unveils a five year, $65 million investment in new guest rooms, ballroom, spa and dining areas. The hope and dream is to offer couples and their guests an exceptional location to celebrate their wedding.

“Like brides and grooms everywhere, we understand and value the time and commitment it takes to plan the perfect event,” says James McManemon, the resort’s general manager. “Over the last five years, we made a significant investment in our resort to create an experience that we hope couples will cherish for a lifetime.”

The oceanfront resort provides a stunning backdrop for a variety of celebrations, from coastal casual to tailored elegance. To be sure, the resort has everything a couple and their guests can enjoy, including an expansive beach, a gorgeous spa, pool, workout facilities and a golf course. There is a fire pit with plentiful and comfortable seating, and even an authentic tiki hut on the beach. The stunning oceanfront ceremony venues and formal celebration sites are just as impressive with five ballrooms, a variety of fine dining restaurants and private rooms for large or intimate affairs.

“All the event spaces are highly customizable so we can help couples create an event that is right for them, whether that means hosting a tented affair on the beach or celebrating with a black-tie event in one of our formal ballrooms,” says Anastasia Stone, the resort’s catering sales manager.
