Evening of Jazz by the sea…

Casey HosmanThe rain has come and yet in and around it have been beautiful skies. Today it cleared with a host of enormous white puffy clouds with bluest of blue backdrop and accompanying the mountaintops everywhere in view. Wow – what a weekend on the central coast.
This evening as with many a Sunday thruout the year – good to drop into the Hamlet Restaurant at Moonstone Gardens in Cambria here on the coast. They have the Jazz Series Concerts there coupled with the best view on the coast to enjoy a great meal, cocktail or all of the above. Tonight there was a sunset bursting behind the clouds over the water, and as the music played as we sipped our wine – I thought, just another day living the ever refreshing, and always uncomplicated, central coast life.
Moonstone Gardens is unlike anything around – and with its rich history and the love of locals and tourists alike, it has come available to the marketplace after 30+ years. With unmatched views, rare zoning and the garden sanctuary setting, this is a compelling and world-class offering. For more details on this iconic location visit www.moonstonegardenscambria.com.

When you “love the living” where you live…

There is a saying hanging on one of the oceanfront homes here in my little seaside community on California’s central coast,  it says: “When You’re Lucky Enough to Live at the Beach, You’re Lucky Enough.” I just passed that again on my walk yesterday and thought how true that is. I love where I live! It is more than the way my lot sets or the style of my home – it’s the area, my daily trek that I take while banking, having coffee and doing what I do.  The pleasant people that I run into all throughout my day. That I can walk in one square block and get my mail at the post office, my banking done, get meat from the amazing local butcher (Hearst Grass-fed Beef to be covered soon), make a birthday gift happen on my to-do list, pick up my order with the wine club I’m a member of and see 10 townspeople I know and care about along the way.  All with one parking place and no meters!  I dreamed of this all those years I lived in LA. It’s a wonderful life and I am reminded daily that  “I am lucky enough!”
